1. Box Jelly Fish


The box jelly fish is categorized as one of the most venomous animals on earth. Its venom is the most deadly venom known to the human kind. It can also kill the victim in no time as it has about 5000 stinging cells called the cnidocytes on each of its tentacle and it has many tentacles. After contact with its tentacles if vinegar is applied immediately on the site of sting, the victim may survive. Otherwise death becomes his fate. Its venom damage he nervous system badly. It is reported to be the biggest killer since 1954. Just imagine about the consequences if you ever get a chance to come across a box jelly fish, you better avoid it.
It is mostly present in the tropical and subtropical oceans.

2. Stone Fish


Second to box jelly fish, the most venomous animal is the stone fish. Its name comes from its ability to transform itself into the shape of stone to hide itself from its prey and predator. And when someone comes near it, it pounces on the victim and neurotoxin from its needle like fins are transferred into the victim who in the case of human disturbs all the nervous co-ordination and if not administrated immediately the victim may die.
It is known to found in almost the whole sea especially the tropical oceans ranging to red sea and Queensland Great Barrier reef.

3. King Cobra


Among the snakes, King Cobra is the most venomous or poisonous snake. It has the ability to kill a human in a few seconds and a giant elephant in a few minutes. Its venom is though not more poisonous than box jelly fish and stone fish but as it injects up to more than 5 times venom which spreads faster and can kill in seconds.
It is mostly found in the deserts of Asia, particularly South Asia.

4. Inland Taipan


If we want to compare king cobra with any of the other snakes it’s the inland taipan which can face it. Its venom is so intense to kill 250,000 mice or 100 humans at a time. From this information you can well imagine about the consequences of it biting you. It will not even take a millisecond to kill a normal human being. But there is a plus point that this snake just bites when in it offended otherwise remains calm. And its bite can be cured with Antivenin.

5. Poison Dart frog


Poison dart frog is reported as the most poisonous vertebrate on earth. Golden dart frog saves its venom in its skin and when any one touches it the frog injects the venom through extremely small stings. Its venom has the power 20 humans or 20,000 mice at once. And its name came from the fact that red Indians use its poison in their blowing darts.
It is abundantly found in the forest of south and Central America.

6. Puffer Fish


The second most poisonous vertebrate is the Puffer Fish. It is used as diet in Japan. But its skin and a few organs are as poisonous that if taken as food dizziness, paralysis is reported and a man can die within 24 hours due to muscle paralysis. Every year 24 to 64 victims of puffer fish are reported in Japan. That is why only experienced chefs are allowed to cook this fish.

7. Marbled Cone Snail


Marbled cone snail attracts its prey through its beautiful cone and when the prey touches it, the snail injects its poison into it. The venom of this snail is so strong so as to kill more than 20 humans at once. The symptoms of its poison are numbness, dizziness, paralysis. But the victim mostly dies due to the muscle paralysis of diaphragm which causes the breathing process to stop.

8. Blue- Ringed Octopus


It is very strange to know that this small octopus of the size of a tennis ball can kill more than 30 humans. But it is true, blue-ringed octopus is so poisonous than it can cause that instantly. Its venom attacks the nervous and muscular system. Causes the muscles to weaken and the nervous system disorder and eventually death
It is mostly found in Pacific Ocean.

9. Death-Stalker Scorpion


Regardless of the common belief those scorpions are harmless for humans. This scorpion is so poisonous to kill you in days. The poison it injects can paralyze your muscles and result in coma and eventually death. Mostly children and older people are at more risk. It is found in the deserts of Africa.

10. The Brazilian Wandering Spider


The Brazilian wandering spider gets its name from the habit of wandering in houses, cars, shoes or other areas. Its venom is so poisonous that its name is also written in the Guinness book of world record 2007 as the most poisonous spider. Its 0.006 mg poison is enough to kill a mouse. If it bites humans, it causes prapises and if prolonged death or impotence.
